Arthur was a legendary king of medieval England. Born in Tintagel castle, Cornwall, and trained by the wizard Merlin, Arthur was famed as a leader of wisdom and compassion. In Camelot, said to be at Glastonbury, he met with his knights at a round table where everyone had an equal voice. A plaque for his grave stands amid the ruins of an ancient Glastonbury cathedral.
